Amazing roll growth at MCS
For several years now Matamata Christian School has been blessed with strong roll growth, taking student enrolment inquiries above the present roll cap of 120, and the demand continues to grow. Something had to be done, so the owners of the school property applied to increase the roll cap to 180 students and increase the teaching year level from year 8 to year 10. This application has been approved by the Ministry of Education and will apply incrementally over 2026 and 2027. Parents and current year 8 students are looking forward to continuing year 9 education next year and year 10 the following year at MCS.

There are a small number of year 9 spaces available in 2026 for students whose parents values align with the schools Special Christian Character.
